Electricity bill split calculator for PGs & flatmates.

Shared main meter but different usage? Split any electricity bill fairly by sub-meter units โ€” the same consumption-weighted method PropXFlow runs automatically every month for PGs, co-living spaces and shared flats across Delhi NCR, UP, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.

Enter your bill and readings, then calculate.

How the fair split works

Each resident's share = total bill ร— their sub-meter units รท sum of all units. Someone who ran the AC all of June pays for it; someone who travelled home to Lucknow doesn't subsidise them.

Automate this forever: PropXFlow reads your sub-meters, splits the bill, adds it to each tenant's FlowQR and collects it with rent โ€” zero arguments, zero arithmetic.

Why equal splits cause fights in shared housing

In most North Indian PGs and shared flats, the main meter bill is divided equally per head. That penalises light users and rewards heavy AC or heater usage โ€” the number-one billing dispute operators report in Gurugram summers and Chandigarh winters. Sub-meter, consumption-weighted splitting removes the argument entirely because every rupee maps to a recorded unit.

Tips for accurate splitting

  • Photograph sub-meter readings on the same date each month.
  • Deduct common-area load (lifts, corridor lights) before splitting, or allocate it equally as a separate line.
  • Keep per-unit rates transparent โ€” show tenants the DISCOM bill.

Stop calculating. Start collecting.
